
World Franchise Day, happening on June 11, is dedicated to bringing people together to honour the business owners, teams, and communities that drive the franchise model forward every day.
On June 11, 2025, the global franchise community will come together for the very first World Franchise Day—a new international initiative created to recognize and celebrate the benefits of franchising around the world.
World Franchise Day serves as a unifying moment for the global franchise community—an opportunity to acknowledge the entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and community contributions of franchisees everywhere.
What is World Franchise Day?
World Franchise Day is a global initiative launched by the World Franchise Council (WFC) to celebrate the franchise business model and its wide-reaching impact. It’s designed to bring people together from around the world to recognize the vital role franchise business owners play in supporting local economies, creating jobs, and strengthening their communities.

Who is Involved in World Franchise Day?
World Franchise Day is truly a global celebration that includes all franchisors, franchisees, suppliers, and franchise supporters who believe in the power of the franchise model. Spearheaded by the World Franchise Council which includes more than 40 national franchise associations, this international initiative brings together countries from every corner of the globe to shine a spotlight on the positive impact of franchising in local communities.

- South Africa
- FIAF, representing 12 Latin American associations such as Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, and Guatemala

Each member region is celebrating in its own unique way, with franchise associations inviting government representatives, local media, and the general public to join in the festivities, many of which are taking place at franchise locations in communities around the world.
