Do you dread commenting on baby photos, engagement announcements and birthday notifications that show up in your Facebook feed, fearing you’ll be flooded with email notifications whenever another user adds a comment to that post? Then it’s time to make friends with Facebook’s “unfollow post” feature.

You can now quickly unsubscribe to lengthy comment threads on posts that you’ve already interacted with.  Before, you’d have to visit the actual post and change its settings but now you can do it all in the notifications panel. Just click on your notifications icon (the globe icon at the top right of your Facebook page), and click on the “x” next to the post you’d like to unfollow.

Unfollowing posts in the mobile app is a bit more involved. You need to navigate to “Account Settings” in the left nav, select “Notifications,” and hit the “Edit” button next to each recent post you’d like to unfollow.

Besides posts, this also works on event and app notifications.
