(TORONTO) May 2, 2013 – The UPS Store Canada has teamed up with Reshift Media to create and launch a network of websites encompassing both its national headquarters and its more than 360 locations across Canada.

The new site, www.theupsstore.ca, is stylistically consistent with The UPS Store’s US website, and is enhanced with additional functionality, including search and mobile optimization. The website incorporates leading-edge responsive design and includes small business-focused tools to ensure clients can easily access all of the services The UPS Store provides through both web and mobile, including shipping and parcel tracking, printing services, mailboxes and packaging.

The UPS Store Canada worked closely with Reshift Media to develop a website that includes:

  • Responsive HTML 5 design for a seamless experience on desktop, tablet and mobile
  • French and English versions
  • Individual pages for all of The UPS Store Canada’s 360+ locations, allowing local store owners the flexibility to customize their sites and include information relevant to their communities
  • Social media integration on the local pages, building on The UPS Store Canada’s previously announced social media initiative, enabling small businesses to share useful information and tools within their favorite social networks
  • Full search engine optimization, both in terms of content and underlying metadata and technology

“Because of the competitive nature of the industry, we spent a lot of time on keyword research and looking at historical keyword reports to help inform our on-page optimization efforts, the navigation, and the architecture that underpins the site,” says Carly Steven, VP of Search at Reshift Media. “It was great working with The UPS Store Canada, who understands that customers are increasingly finding businesses through search and mobile.”

“Our customers know The UPS Store as a solution to helping their small businesses run efficiently,” says David Druker.  “Ensuring that our website can be as much a resource to these customers online as our stores are to them in person was extremely important to us and our network of over 360 small businesses, the franchisees of The UPS Store Canada.”

The new site launched May 1, 2013. For more information, please visit www.theupsstore.ca.
